CASE OPEN
A submission came through FOUND for a word I'd never heard before: Esmeringhuy. The person who sent it wasn't even fully sure — just that it's slang, and that it means something people don't usually say directly. That's usually where the interesting cases start. Not a dish this time. Not a place. Just a word somebody heard, that nobody's confirmed yet. I don't know who still uses it, who taught it to who, or if it means the same thing on every block of this city. So I'm opening the file the same way I open every other one: by going and asking people directly.
