I thought we were going home.

After a full day of exploring, I was already thinking about getting back to IT Park.

Then Ming looked at me and said,

"Just last one stop."

a guy looking surprised after hearing about another unexpected stop from locals in Argao

A few minutes later, someone mentioned a hot spring.

So I asked,

"Hot spring?"

They smiled.

"No... cold spring."

I hadn't even known we were stopping anywhere.

When we arrived, something surprised me.

Not the Cold Spring.

The fact that nobody acted like the plan had changed.

No one said,

"Let's make one last stop."

Nobody needed to explain it.
Nobody needed a plan.

No one even acknowledged that anything had changed.

Everyone simply kept going.

Meanwhile, I was still mentally on my way home.

That was the moment I realized we were experiencing the same day in completely different ways.

I was following a schedule.

They were simply enjoying the day.

No one explained anything.

No one needed to.

Everything I learned started with one sentence:

"Just last one stop."

Ironically, the place I remember most from that day...

was the one I never knew we were going to visit.

Still Learning.
Still Exploring.

One unexpected stop at a time.

Daghang salamat🙏

VOICES FROM THE FIELD
Q — "So, we're going home now?"
"Just last one stop." — Ming
Q — "Hot spring?"
"No... cold spring." — Ming's friend
Why This Matters

I kept waiting for someone to announce that the day had changed. Nobody did. I realized how much I depend on plans — knowing when something starts, and when it's supposed to end. So when "Just last one stop." turned into a cold spring I hadn't even known existed, I found myself the only person still checking an internal clock nobody else was carrying.

The moment that actually stuck with me wasn't the water. It was realizing I was following a schedule while everyone else was just having a day. Different rhythms. Same road. Nobody needed to explain the change because, to them, nothing had changed at all.

It reminded me of how much I learned to value schedules growing up. Maybe that's why the spring stayed with me long after I left Argao.

The cold spring was easy to find — the harder thing to notice was how differently we were experiencing the same day.
