I've been living in Cebu for almost 3 years...
and somehow, I still find myself misunderstanding simple things.
While exploring the countryside in Argao, I found what looked like a small house.
Then I noticed goats.
Lots of goats.
So I asked the family,
"Why do you raise goats?"
"For business."
"For caldereta."
That made sense.
Then I looked at the house again and jokingly asked,
"How many residents live here?"
"Eleven."
I paused.
"Eleven people?"
They laughed.
"No... only goats." 😂
For a few seconds, we were all laughing at the same thing.
It was just a simple joke.
But somehow, people I had just met were laughing with me like we had known each other longer.
And that's probably what I remember most.
Not the goats.
Not even the place.
Just a small question that turned into a shared laugh.
Almost 3 years here,
and moments like this still remind me why I enjoy exploring.
You don't always find something amazing.
Sometimes the smallest questions become the stories you remember.
Still Learning.
Still Exploring.

A few seconds earlier, I was just following them.A few seconds later, we were all laughing at the same joke.
Maybe that's one of the things I enjoy most about exploring.Not finding something unusual.But finding small moments where you suddenly feel included.
The real discovery wasn't the goats or the joke — it was how quickly a shared laugh made me feel less like a stranger.
